El Plan Territorial Especial de Ordenaci\u00f3n de las Infraestructuras Energ\u00e9ticas de Tenerife es un instrumento de planificaci\u00f3n territorial, y por tanto si bien desarrolla aspectos sectoriales espec\u00edficos, tiene como objetivo fundamental la sistematizaci\u00f3n, jerarquizaci\u00f3n y control del proceso de implantaci\u00f3n de estas infraestructuras en el territorio insular, y todo ello desde la coherencia con el modelo de ordenaci\u00f3n definido en el Plan Insular.<\/p>\n

The Special Territorial Plan for Tenerife\u2019s Energetic Infrastructure constitutes an instrument for territorial planning, developing sector-specific aspects, with the systematization, hierarchy establishment, and control over the processes of implementation of these infrastructures as its fundamental aims. All in accordance with the land-use model defined in the Insular Plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nLa importancia de las infraestructuras energ\u00e9ticas es com\u00fan a cualquier geograf\u00eda, pero en una Isla es mucho m\u00e1s acentuada, m\u00e1xime cuando la fragilidad territorial es notoria, como ocurre en el caso de Tenerife. Fragilidad que resulta de unas condiciones naturales excepcionales, unidas a un uso intensivo del territorio y a la actividad tur\u00edstica como principal motor econ\u00f3mico. Por tanto, si bien es imprescindible planificar en relaci\u00f3n a las perspectivas de desarrollo futuro, esta condici\u00f3n no debe entenderse s\u00f3lo desde la perspectiva cuantitativa, sino tambi\u00e9n desde la cualitativa.<\/span><\/p>\n

The importance of energetic infrastructures is obvious in any type of geography, but much more pronounced when considering an island, especially when the territorial fragility is evident, like in the case of Tenerife. Fragility resulting from exceptional natural conditions, combined with an intensive use of the land and with tourism as the main economic activity. It is therefore, essential to develop planning strategies taking into account future developments, not only in the quantitative sense but in a qualitative sense too.<\/span><\/p>\n

En el contexto del presente Plan cobran una especial importancia las energ\u00edas renovables, cuyo impulso constituye en la actualidad un objetivo compartido por los diferentes gobiernos dentro de las pol\u00edticas de mejora medioambiental, y tambi\u00e9n de aprovechamiento de los recursos y avance tecnol\u00f3gico. En Canarias, la importancia de reducir la dependencia energ\u00e9tica, subraya la necesidad de articular los mecanismos y estrategias que permitan alcanzar la m\u00e1xima participaci\u00f3n posible de la generaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica de origen renovable, en el plazo m\u00ednimo posible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Within the context of the current Plan, a considerable importance is given to renewable energies, whose advancement is now a goal shared by most governments in terms of policies for environmental improvement, and in terms of the resource utilization and technological advancement. In the Canary Islands, the importance of reducing energetic dependence, underlines the need of articulating the mechanisms and strategies necessary to achieve the maximum participation in energetic generation from renewable sources as possible, and as quickly as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n
